The g'Kek were endothermic oxygen breathers. They had two wheels for movement, as well as two "pusher legs" to help them up hills, building momentum, etc. These wheels were propelled by an internal electromagnetic axle rich in iron and other metals. Their arms were agile and boneless to aided in balancing when rolling at high speeds. Their hands were a mass of fibrous prehensile tendrils and could grip most any surface. Atop their braincase were four eyestalks, each one independant of each other. Between these stalks is the mouth. The g'Kek were a unique race in that they moved from place to place not with legs but with wheels. This odd mode of transportation made it uncomfortable for them to move around on planets, so for most of their time as starfarers, they lived on huge satelite-cities orbiting planets. Living in orbit allowed unlimited room for expansions and little gravity to hinder their rolling. As part of having a large trading empire, the g'Keks were always fond of betting and wagering. By the time they crossed the Obeyers, they were only a fraction of the mighty people they once were. Unable to defend themselves when they could not cover their debts, they g'Kek died a victim of their own greed. g'Kek satelites were taken over by the Obeyers after their loss, but there are rumors that in the years of escalating tensions, a ship full of refugees landed on restricted Jijo. |
